Isaiah 11:3 — “AND HE WILL DELIGHT IN THE FEAR OF THE LORD, AND HE WILL NOT JUDGE BY WHAT HIS EYES SEE, NOR MAKE A DECISION BY WHAT HIS EARS HEAR”.
Oh, that we would be as wise as this scripture guides us. How often have I seen something or heard something and immediately received it as “truth” and jumped on the band wagon of judgement with everyone else. Once I move in the “judgement” direction it is usually very difficult to turn around. My mouth and my behaviors get in the way of what God truly intends out of the situation. The Lord tells us to be “discerning” about all situations. That means to look at and listen to each situation with HIS SPIRIT, HIS HEART, HIS PURPOSE! I have recently taught on putting up HEDGES and one of our most important hedges or protections is “God Said!” Am I measuring my days and times by God’s Word or am I judging according to what my eyes see and my ears hear! The world is a deceiver, my friend. I must work at putting my eyes only on Him and train my ears to hear only His voice. “AND HE WILL DELIGHT IN THE FEAR OF THE LORD, AND HE WILL NOT JUDGE BY WHAT HIS EYES SEE, NOR MAKE A DECISION BY WHAT HIS EARS HEAR.”
