Mission & Vision
Sup of the Lord Ministries is made up of people from more than 18 different countries of North, Central, and South America. Because of the differences in customs, culture, language and race, we have learned that the only way to walk together is through love, unity, and the same vision in God.
Amos 3:3 states: “DO TWO WALK TOGETHER UNLESS THEY HAVE AGREED TO DO SO?”
In addition, the word of God (The Bible) states in Proverbs 29:18: “WHERE THERE IS NO VISION THE PEOPLE PERISH.”
Consequently, it is important for everyone who comes and wants to eventually be a member of Sup of the Lord Ministries to understand the specific vision given to Sup of the Lord Ministries so that we can walk together in unity.
Habakkuk 2:2 states: “WRITE DOWN THE VISION AND MAKE IT PLAIN ON TABLETS THAT HE MAY RUN WHO READS IT.”
Sup of the Lord Ministries has a three-fold vision which has been given by the Lord Jesus Christ.
Sup of the Lord Ministries is a local church; secondly, a mission outreach church; and, thirdly, an apostolic church. It is a local church first because it was established by the Lord and His Holy Spirit as His instrument of the kingdom of God to reach out into the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area to spread the good news to all peoples, especially the Latino culture. This is done through love and calling people to respond to the good news of a risen savior, Jesus Christ, through the act of ongoing repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. This is achieved primarily through local evangelism, both individually and corporately, by the strengthening and building of families, participating in community events and outreaches, teachings and trainings, etc.
Sup of the Lord Ministries, since its inception, has always been a mission outreach church in that it reaches outside the local Washington D.C. Metropolitan area in the United States and abroad to bring the gospel. This is done through various types of free support in that we are able to visit different states and foreign countries through the ministries of helps. Sup of the Lord sends ministers to preach, teach, and help the Body of Christ by bringing sound Biblical doctrine, etc.
Sup of the Lord Ministries has grown into an Apostolic Church; that is, a church which provides Pastoring for pastors, ministries, and churches which it has planted. Also, as an Apostolic Church, we visit churches which are newly planted and those which are already established both in the United States and various countries which have asked for Pastoral covering with direct oversight – a Macedonia calling. Through this calling, Sup of the Lord Ministries gives this oversight with Apostolic doctrine (Acts 2:42), strength, and support in various spiritual and natural biblical ways. This requires continual visitation and oversight through trips and both oral and written correspondence, etc.
This three-fold vision has grown and expanded over the years and will continue to do so as the Lord permits.
